EasyEstimates Detail Lines Help

This page provides help information for the EasyEstimates Detail Lines update page

1) The "New" button is used to add a new detail lines. The new line will be inserted after the current line. A choice of lines will be presented after the "New" button is clicked.

2) The "Change" button is used to change the options for the current line.

3) The "Delete" button deletes the current line

4) Used to move the current line above the previous line.

5) Used to move the current line below the following line.

6) The Line Name is used internally to identify the line. It isn't visible on the customer web page. It is useful for identifying lines. Changing the line name does not effect any other lines that refer to the current line.

7) Type is the type of line that is defined.

8) Sum indicates how the line total is summarized. EasyEstimates supports several categories so that, for example, products can be summarized separately from services for calculating sales tax.

9) The actual line as it will appear on the customer page appears here. The same formatting is used. For some lines, such as a text line that copies text from a previous page, the text may not be accurate here. Hidden lines will be visible here, although they will not appear on the customer web page.

10) All the calculations, including dropdowns, radio buttons, etc. are displayed and functional here.

11) The results of the calculation are shown here.

12) Some actions, like re-sequencing of detail lines or adding page breaks can causes lines to no longer function correctly. In most cases, EasyEstimates will automatically check for lines that no longer function properly. This button allow for manually running the check for non-functioning detail lines.

13) This button runs the same check as the button in #12 and also produces a report of all detail lines that are no longer functioning. Note: Most non-functioning detail lines will be obvious and are not specifically reported here.
